enter blood vow, home to the rochester house of night. lingering shadows and well-kept secrets are slowly infiltrating a normally tranquil escape from the chaos of ordinary life among humans. most fledglings have been kept in the dark... so far. the few gifted by our goddess, nyx, have been thinking, and their ideas are slowly leaking into the rest of the student population.
the adult vampyres that reside at the house of night are facing their own troubles, separate from the secrets and bottled up frustrations spreading through the fledglings. the high priestess has a dark secret to tell, but she isn't the only one. and even worse, this winter seems to be far more brutal and unforgiving than the last. and that could spell trouble for more than just the vampyres.
oblivious as always, the humans carry on with their lives, rarely giving a thought to the house of night, hidden on the edge of the city. but teenagers always break the rules, and rumors are spreading, courtesy of a few fledglings who don't understand when too far is too far.
