Vanessa was at home, sprawled across her bed reading a book, listening to music, and having the TV playing silently in the background. Yes, call her weird but she had both the TV and the stereo on, but paid no attention to neither. That was just Vanessa to you! So typical! She had returned home a few hours ago, since after school she had a ballet class. It came with the territory of having a dancer as your mother. She was supposed to follow on her steps. So since the moment she returned home, until now, she was on her bed doing absolutely nothing. She had taken a small nap, for about an hour but that was it. From the moment she woke up she was reading her book. She was supposed to take a shower when she came but she was bored so she went straight to sleep, but now the whole thing was making her feel uncomfortable, so Vanessa put her book down and got up. getting into her en-suite bathroom for a quick shower.
After she finished that she came out all freshen up, and looked around her. Actually, she was kind of bored of staying at home. Plus, she really was in NO mood for another "family" dinner with her parents. It was energy consuming for some weird reason... So she decided to just get dressed and go out for dinner instead. And better do that fast before her father returned home... It really wasn't fair though... She had to sit through family dinners every night when when her brother was in town, he was allowed to go out and have fun and skip the freaking thing! But yeah... He was the first born! The son! And it was pissing her off! Vanessa finished getting dressed after she dried her hair. She roamed around her room picking up her staff, like her cell phone, car keys and iPod and throwing them all in her purse before she exited her room and cautiously ran down the stairs and out the door before someone got in her way
Vanessa got in her car and drove towards her favorite Chinese in town "Moo Shoo". She parked it and got out heading inside where she was welcomed with the familiar and pleasant smell of food. They led her to a table and handed her a menu and she smiled at the waiter as he filled her glass with water before he walked away, waiting for her to make her decision on what she was having

Ryan sat at small table at the far end of the dinning area of the moo shoo place. Ryan didn’t normally come to dine-in or fast food restaurants, except of certain occasion whether it be taking a friend or a date to dinner or when he was tired of his regular routine.
Today however he had hadn’t invited anyone to have dinner with him and had decided to dine alone. Out side the sky was clear and the day was bright from the afternoon sun. Looking a menu of mainly things that he had tried and trying to find that he hadn’t but failing miserably in his attempt.
Ryan drunk the medium non fat Carmel latte that he had picked up from the blue room café. Ryan hated these things, sometimes having a crap of choices just annoyed him more then it helped him. Making up his mind on what he would have, it was the same old thing that he always. The toso chicken with a side chicken fried rice and egg role. Ryan laid the menu down on the table waiting for the waiter or waitress that would be taking his order.
ryan looked around the room, he hadn’t really dressed for going to a restaurant , he had decided to go with An Armani polo and Jeans as well a sandals. The shirt that he had bought while shopping with his now ex girlfriend Rhonda, she had been on the high class, I wear this because every one else is type of girl. The pants he had only bought from the same place because he liked when he had tried them on. And the sandals however, well come on you had to treat your self to something sometimes. he normally didn't like wearing disighner clothes becuase it meant that one had to much time and money on their hands.Finishing up the last of his coffee he twirled his thumbs.wondering if he should just forget the whole thing and go back to his dorm

Vanessa was supposed to be at her dorm at school but she decided to go spent the night at home, with a sick note from her mother... What's the point of sharing a room and a single bed with someone else when she could have her king size bed with 300 dollars worth egyptian cotton sheets at home? And a plasma TV, and her stereo on which she could put her music as loud as she could without anyone complaining, well besides her mother that is, and an en suite bathroom where she could stay as long as she liked without anyone else banging on the door because they wanted to use it! Why was she in a private school again? Ah yes... The status... A priavte school looked so much better on college applications than any other public school. Plus the education level was higher, because the teachers were paid a lot of money and they were supposed to keep the parents satisfied. AND the students. Mostly the students actually because they were the ones who could destroy them with a snap of their teachers... But the whole dorms thing... Well that could go several ways...
If you shared the room with someone you actually liked then it was good. If you shared it with someone you despised then that was bad. Actually that was REALLY bad. In all honesty she would prefer it if she had a room of her own. Then she would be happy to stay there! Because what better thing than doing whatever you want without parentla supervision and just go home the weekends? You could take it as a practice for college if you thought about it. Though Vanessa wasn't planning on staying at the dorms at college... She was getting into a sorority. Correction: She was getting into the best sorority! Boy she couldn't wait until she left... Her choices were pretty much between Stanford, Berkeley and UCLA... And maybe Yale... But she prefered California better... Give her sun and beach and she was perfectly satisfied and happy.
Vanessa was too bored to dress up that to go out. After all it's not like she was going to a club... So she decided to keep it casual... But not too casual like sweats and a hoodie, she was going out in public after all. She kept it casual with a pair of skinny jeans a black shirt with a beige jacket and a pair of her new favorite beige boots. And her purse of course. An accessory a woman couldn't live without and certainly not Vanessa! She grabbed her car key and headed to MooShoo Palace. After settling at a table and reading through the menu she decided what she wanted to eat. She closed the menu and put it on the table in front of her, and nodded to the waiter to approach so she could give him an order. When he came to her table Vanessa flashed him her ten million dollar smile before giving him her orderUmm... I'll have the sesame prawns on toast as a starter. And the prawns with oyster sauce for main. And water. Evian preferably please. That's all. Thank you!
she said politely, smiling as she watched the waiter noting her order down on his pad, before he left to go get her order ready [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Ryan twilled his thumbs, a silly little habit that he had picked up whenever he happened to be tired of waiting for something. picking up coffee cup before remember that had already drained it a moment or so before.
looking around the well sized dinning area of the moo shoo palace. his eyes fell on a slender framed figure that sat half way across the room with her back to him. for some reason as he took in her Long dark brown hair, and light brown compliction. he felt a since of familiarity. he couldn't quite put his figure on where he knew her from.
opening his menu again for what seemed like the umpteenth time, he gazed up and down the now familiar pages. not really reading it and not really seeing. putting the menu down on the table again he looked over to wear the girl sat. where did he know her from? who was she?. the questions flew through his mind like nascar on a Sunday afternoon.
he didn't know why this person was so important but it was like his stomach had clenched and refused to release him as it's victim. his curiosity getting the better of him, he decided to get up and play as if he needed he breath of fresh air. getting up from his chair he walked toward the door. walking past her table he gazed down at it's occupant. no way it couldn't be. stopping in his tracks. he said in surprise " Vanessa, is that you ".
he hadn't seen the girl in what seemed like years. well to be exact he hadn't seen her since early the previous year. he remembered the that night clear as day, they had been down at the beach and had gotten into a rather bad argument and had decided to call their relationship quits. realizing that his mouth was open in shock, he quickly closed it. " um hows it been, um how are you"
