people who don't really know kaylee admire her. perhaps a better word is charismatic, because she can really be very charming. a lot of adults think she's a good kid, some of her classmates and most of her 'friends' think she's interesting. the truth is she's really not as nice as she seems, but she's outgoing and seems to be so. basically all kaylee wants to do is have fun and be surrounded by fun and interesting people. she hates being by herself because she finds her own company dull, so she surrounds herself with people who will keep her amused. she's at a party or at a friends or at cheer practice or with some guy every other weekend, and is constantly on the go. she's actually pretty fun to be with, but she's wild. this can be bad to get involved in - when she gets in trouble she does her best to wriggle her way out of it, and will manipulate and blame other people to do so. an athletic girl, she is on the cheerleading team and enjoys sport.
kaylee also enjoys playing games with people, pretending to befriend them and then humiliating them publicly, or spreading nasty rumours. she loves to gossip and is a bad enemy to have because she's so unpredictable and nasty. she won't be happy until anyone she hates is a complete social reject, and is incredibly persistent about it. she can hold a grudge for a long time. kaylee's also known for being a bit promiscuous. it's rumoured she's slept with half the football team, which is mostly true, and she'll put out for any other good looking, popular guy without much of a fuss. kaylee loves her status and her family's wealth. she constantly guilts her father into giving her more money to spend shopping, and her room is messy and chaotic, with her clothes strewn everywhere. she doesn't get along with her family or her sister, or basically anyone who isn't a royal. probably her biggest secret is her bulimia - after her parents divorce, the body image issues that had been with her for a while turned into more of an obsession and that endless cycle of starving, binging, guilt and purging. no one knows, not even her sister, and kaylee has grown good at hiding it.

kaylee was born ten minutes and twenty two seconds after her twin sister, elizabeth. their parents were wealthy but never inattentive; the twins were always spoilt with both love and posessions. from the beginning it was obvious kaylee was the outgoing one, the loud one who demanded far more attention than her twin. at school she was always the popular one, the one at the center of attention and surrounded by people she deemed 'worthy' of her time. she was always active, even as a child; she did cheerleading and gymnastics, and was always going to visit friends or at the park. her teachers loved her because she was so 'good', but she was really just very secretive and good at hiding her bad behaviour. she was never a nice girl and was a part of what could only be called the mean popular girls during elementary and middle school.
the year kaylee and her sister turned fourteen was the year that their family life fell apart. their mother left them for reasons unknown to kaylee, who was outwardly angry and inwardly devastated. she threw herself further into her world of friends and parties. she was still cheerleading and started obsessing about her weight; she couldn't make just dieting stick and started with her regular bulimic habits as she struggled to cope with the absence of her mother who she couldn't contact and the fact that her father had already remarried some las vegas gold digger. kaylee can't stand to be around this woman and is constantly hostile. she's had multiple confrontations with both her father and his new wife, and hates being at home around them.
