A READINESS OF THINGS I DO

your blood, your bones, your voice
AND YOUR GHOST
hair color -- dark brown, nearly black
eye color -- blue (i believe so?)
height -- 5'9"
weight -- 145
build -- wire-like muscles, fit
distinguishing features? -- striking blue eyes
overall -- Nathan is quite athletic but doesn't like to work out, his wire-like muscles aren't too noticable unless he wears a short sleeved t-shirt or a tight long sleeve. He has striking blue eyes, when you first meet him all you'll be able to see are his eyes... Then you will see his dark brown nearly black hair, it's usually in a 'messy' sort of 'I don't care let's go to school' look.. He doesn't really care for his height or weight. He's just fit and knows he won't die from being fat or anything.
i was a hero early in the morning
I AIN'T NO HERO IN THE NIGHT
likes -- girls, his journal, being away from home, music, alcohol, running/jogging, apple juice, guitar, the smell of lotion, being active.
dislikes -- his history, school, being unable to open up easily to others, drugs, name calling, flapjacks, therapists, doctors, and his life.
fears -- dying, losing himself, and things that remind him of the past.
habits -- plays with his fingers when he's nervous, nodding when annoyed (to avoid a un-needed conversation), rubbing his temples when stressed.
secrets -- grew up with an alcoholic mother and abusive father, has a lack of social skills.
overall -- Nathan is defiantly the type of boy to make you just wonder what the hell is going on in his head?! He doesn't like talking to people in general, not even teachers will get more than ten words out of him in a day. The problem is he keeps everything bottled up and is afraid to tell anything to anyone. He's extremely shy and won't open up like a book, Nate is more like a super locked journal along with a electronic code. He tries to forget the past and anything that reminds him of it, his only escape: alcohol. Nate will drink until he is numb or until the memory fades, perhaps he'll pass out? Which ever comes first is fine by him. He doesn't care if he lives or dies, he just lives life as it goes. His motto to live by is "what you see is what you get". People think he's just a anti-social freak, Nate is just afraid of opening up to people. If he starts to get close to a person... Eventually he will push them away and never talk to them again, he has never had a girlfriend in his life.
Nate doesn't project his emotions properly, no one ever taught him how... The emotions he knows is sadness, angry, contentment, jealously, remorse, and regret. He has mastered those pretty well, he doesn't use much more than that on a daily basis. When you do 'try' to 'talk' to Nate he'll look like he isn't listening but he picks up EVERYTHING you say and everything you do, he will try to help you as best as he can. But it's not everyday someone comes to talk to him so it's not everyday he tries to help someone. When you do get to know Nate (if you do) he will be a very emotional and easily offended person, you have to mind your manners around him. He is very old fashioned and likes things done a certain way. If you do decide you like the mysterious guys who always make you wonder and 'swoon' for him, you'll discover he's a very understanding and caring person. This kid's got alot of love, but is afraid of love.
His past has made his emotions as hard as rock and matured.
found eighteen reasons i can't
PICK UP ON THE PHONE
mother -- Mary Anne Goodwin, 45 years old, alcoholic, unemployed
father -- Jefree Ryan Goodwin, 50 years old, assistant couch of a soccer team.
siblings -- n/a
pets -- n/a
other -- Teresa Jay Goodwin (grandmother), 82 years old, living in elderly care.
history -- Nathan grew up in New York city, the big apple! The city where business people carried briefcases as they walked to work. The place with Time Square, he was a happy child generally speaking... Then his world crashed down as his mother got into alcohol after losing her job as a teacher at a local school. His father was furious and started abusing Nathan physically, every time it happened Nathan would be traumatized forever. The memories never faded, it'd start with a bottle of vodka in his mothers hands... His father yelled, the bottle of vodka would be gone then it got smashed. The yelling continued and then his father would pick on a flaw Nathan had.. The abuse started right around age 6. He'd never be the same..
After 3 more years his mother finally got treatment and went to a rehab facility. She left for about 6 months, the most peaceful 6 months of Nathan's life. His father was still abusive but he was out alot more with his colleges. Nathan would be left alone with his grandmother, he'd enjoyed staying with his grandmother most of the time. He forgot everything that happened when she was around. After his mother returned she was sober for about a year or so, then let's just say 'old habits die hard'. After a social one night she had drank because of a small toast, then she racked up the key to the liquor cabinet and started up again... The yelling never stopped. Nathan would lock himself in his room and blast music as loud as the speakers would go, he'd be alone with his music. The only thing he asked himself was 'why me?' why did this always happen to Nathan? Why was his life so trashed?
When he turned 11, he was put into foster care for a few months. Then he'd go from foster home to another, then back to his parents.. Saying and begging him to come back they had 'changed' and 'never again'! Those words were always overused by his parents, Nathan would return for a year then it'd start all over. His life was tainted he went to live with his grandmother till she was put into elderly care. Now he lives with his mother and father because they begged him to come back and he had no where else to turn too. After all Nathan had no friends since he moved from house to house and never kept in touch, his lack of social skills didn't help.. They moved to Summerset to 'start over' his parents promised no more, it's been 2 years and nothing has happened. Besides his mothers drinking habits continue, the yelling still occurs every once in a while. Nathan will never quite fit in...

this here application was made by quinn, who is rather impressed with herself for making it. and therefore, it should not be stolen. however, if you ask her nicely she'll probably be so flattered by the idea that someone wanted to use it that she'll surely hand it over. lyrics by wolf parade.
