- don't worry, kiddos. i'll keep this short and to the point: here are your guidelines that will make this site a fun and painless rp experience for all. i ask one thing and one thing only: that you follow them. they aren't difficult to follow, and if you follow them i won't have to turn into the big scary mean admin everyone hates. so thanks for taking the five minutes to read this, and i'll see you on the forums.
- right off the bat, the word respect comes to mind. i feel like i don't need to explain this one, but just in case: no trashing, flaming, insulting or any synonym of the aformentioned will be tolerated. if you have a problem with another member, try messaging them about it. or if it gets out of hand, please, please, please don't be too proud, and tell a staff member.
- unless specified by the phrase "ooc:", or Out Of Character, out of character chat is not to be used in the in-character boards. 'nuff said.
- stealing = automatic ban. i'll understand if you don't credit something correctly on accident, or something of the like. but the second you claim something as your own that is not your own... you better run for the hills. because i have your ip address. so, to make things easier on all of us, just don't do it. thank you :]
- this site will have some mature content. meaning swearing, potentially dramatic fight scenes, and raunchy romance. you're going to have to be the judge of this one, but the second you start writing something people may not want to read, i.e. characters losing their clothes or spouting blood and guts, i'd put something in the title of the thread to let our readers know. usually a [M] or a [XXX] or something.
- as far as graphics go, nothing that stretches the page. i don't care how tall they are (to an extent), but when they get too wide i'll have to have a chat with you. as far as the content of the pictures, you know what you can and can't have. bikinis and underwear? fine. nearly-pornographic images? we have a problem.
- our beloved characters have a limit. and that is limited by the human potential. there are no vampires, werewolves, mutants, or any other supernatural being allowed. humans have flaws and weaknesses. these make the character more realistic, and more fun. so, leave mary sue at home, it's time to make a real character. and speaking of real, we know how many of you love to use cartoons or drawings for your playby. but you cannot. realism is what we're going for, and so we need people.
- when it comes to rping, we have a word limit: 100 words. the admins will be very strict about this, because it is doable, even if you're a beginner. keep posts from being in first person, that is not what we want. we're looking for third person. he, she, they, etc. and while you're at it. no power-playing. none. ever. it is my number one pet peeve of roleplaying. and therefore, i will not hesitate in telling you about it. and from there, i will expect you to fix it, or i will not hesitate in locking your thread and moving it to the archives. you have been warned >8-[
- the whole point of everything here is this: have fun. and be creative while doing it. if you follow these cute little rules we can all have fun and be creative. so do it. please and thank you.
