not all of us are so computer-savvy, and sometimes a pen and paper is more handy than a laptop. when your real feelings need to escape, the ones that you don't want anyone else to see, you can put them here.

located on the north side of the school is the office, where the principal resides, the nurse dishes out bandaids, and the teachers seek shelter in the teacher's lounge. the slang "going up north" caught on, meaning someone's on their way to the office. hope you're not in trouble.

step into the jefferson heights information superhighway. as the students crowd the hallways, snippets of conversations can be heard: "did you hear about..." "i can't believe..." "she couldn't have seriously..." have a keen ear? use it to your advantage. just don't be late for class!

the bell has sounded, the halls have cleared. get out your notebooks and sharpen your pencils. the teachers at jefferson heights are the cream of the crop, but even they can be silenced by an extra dollar or two in their pockets. but, please, try to be nice.

well, the students have to stay somewhere, don't they? floors 2 and 4 contain the female dorms, which leaves the floors 3 and 5 to the men. the ground floor is a common area to mingle and be happy.

welcome to the hell house as some call it. where one has to look both ways before entering, in case of some stray puck or dodge ball sent by some sport crazed maniac of a student. and earmuffs are a good idea, the gym teacher has one friend and one friend only: his whistle.

crowded, messy, and i wouldn't trust the sloppy joes, but let's be honest, compared to what it could be, the oak-wood tables and murals lining the walls make the cafeteria tolerable.

in the shadow of the jefferson heights clocktower sits the slab of concrete known as the courtyard. on nice days, there's three or four classes being taught in the sunlight and the midst of the trimmed hedges and flowers that make up the garden.

in front of school, right next to the parking lot, is a spread of grass that is usually covered with flocks of birds. but, once the final bell rings, it's covered with flocks of students. they talk, they laugh, they ignore homework. chilling on the lawn is just a way of life.

as much as you want to rear end your teacher's car for failing you on that last test, i wouldn't. because chances are it's not your teacher's car. students and staff alike often ignore the 'parking space reserved for...' signs and pull in wherever they please. the only exception? the principal's spot. i wouldn't lay a finger, key, or bumper on the left windsheild wiper of his souped up little bmw.

welcome to the abbey, a music store built in 1963. "abigail" is tucked away in a small corner of the downtown shopping strip, home of some of the most influential legends that have ever graced the music scene. so come on down on a lazy day and cruise through the shelves and find whatver it is that your heart desires.

the moo shoo is a popular chiniese resturant. here you can more than likely find a pack of jefferson bulldogs huddled together discussing the latest rumor of who's dating who over a plate of fried rice and cream cheese wantons.

no, it's not the name of a street. it's a building, a movie theatre to be exact. summerset may be small, but the owners have connections in the big city. whatever big-name movies pop up on billboards in the cities appear on cinema boulevard's entrance-marquee a matter of hours later.

the quaint little town was a bit skeptical when they saw this little number open up. kaleidoscope is a 16+ nightclub, just a matter of blocks from jefferson heights. what are you doing cooped up in your dorm on satuday night? put on something presentable and shake your hips to those thumping beats!

i know what you're thinking: what's so special about a blue room? but when you're feeling exhuasted from an hard day's work, this little blue room is the best cup of java in town. let your worries dissolve like the two-sugar-one-cream in your coffee and listen to the local artists sing out their best lyrics.

who cares if it's a town? summerset still has a city hall. and inside lies a triple-threat. the mayor, the police station, and the fire department combined their forces into the most massive building in town.

a scattering of trees provide shade for the collection of benches, and rolling patches of grass give way to more trees and picnic tables. a decorative iron fence lines the boundary, and streetlamps light it up at night. the prettiest little place you could ask for.
